Hello

Maria Fabre is a Hispanic American artist & designer based in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from the University of North Texas, with a BFA in Fashion Design. There she was the recipient of the Golden Scissors Scholarship and participated in multiple events.

Maria worked in the fashion industry for 9 years in several roles, from apparel designer, pattern maker, technical designer, to product manager. She then transitioned into designing crafts & DIY projects and has loved getting the opportunity to work for a major retailer.

 

Recently, in her personal endeavors, she has started to dabble in the illustration process using gouache and Procreate. During her time at university she enjoyed working with watercolor & markers, she has started to rediscover the enjoyment of being able to create physical products. As a goal she hopes to start illustrating children's books, as well as creating surface patterns for products. She is most skilled in Adobe Suite programs, but wants to improve her illustration skills outside of technology.
