Maria is a Hispanic American digital illustrator and designer based in Dallas, Texas, with over 12 years of experience across the design industry. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from the University of North Texas, where she was awarded the prestigious Golden Scissors Scholarship and participated in numerous industry-led design events. Maria began her career in the fashion industry, where she spent nearly a decade advancing through roles including apparel designer, patternmaker, technical designer, and product development manager. Her deep understanding of product lifecycle and design led to a seamless transition into the craft design space, where she focused on developing trend-driven products, building compelling trend stories, and crafting art guides that influence retail assortments across major U.S. and Canadian retailers.

In her personal creative pursuits, Maria is rediscovering her passion for traditional illustration, working with gouache, watercolor, and Procreate to develop unique and expressive artwork. With a background in traditional media and fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, she is currently expanding her portfolio with the goal of illustrating children’s books.
